Understanding Polarity and Qi Flow in BeT

TCM Practitioner Note: Bioelectric Current Flow Must Match Qi Flow

In BeT, silver (Cathode −) must always be placed on the lower-numbered Jing-Well points, while copper (Anode +) is placed on the higher-numbered paired meridian points. This alignment ensures that positive ion flow moves with the Qi, while electrons flow in the opposite direction, maintaining energetic harmony.

Reversing polarity can worsen symptoms a concept known in TCM as rebellious Qi. Proper polarity placement is therefore not optional, but essential.

Why Copper and Silver Matter. Why We Use Only Copper and Silver in BeT

After years of clinical use and investigation, gold and silver electrodes were found to generate only ~0.1 volts, too low for optimal therapeutic effect. Zinc, although conductive, presented biocompatibility issues. The pairing of copper (Anode) and silver (Cathode) generates ~0.46 volts, a sweet spot for stimulating nitric oxide (NO), ATP production, and restoring electrolyte/pH balance without adverse effects. This revision simplifies training and ensures consistent polarity, eliminating confusion for stronger results.

The Role of Endogenous Electric Fields (EFs)

 “Harmony in Cells and Circuits”

Modern science confirms what Chinese medicine has long taught: that subtle electrical currents govern health and healing. Researchers like Dr. Robert Becker and Dr. Michael Levin have shown how low-voltage fields guide regeneration, shape organs, and influence every cellular process.

BeT amplifies this natural wisdom. When correctly applied, copper and silver electrodes create an internal current that reconnects energetic circuits and reboots biological intelligence. This is electrical acupuncture without needles, devices, or drugs, just the body responding to the right signal.

BeT and the Opioid Crisis

Real-World Application: Withdrawal Relief Without ORT

With BeT, patients experiencing acute opioid withdrawal can have symptoms eliminated in minutes. The All-Meridian protocol uses copper/silver pairs on Jing-Well points with no medications and no devices. The electrical field is simple, portable, and powerful. This gives BeT a unique role as an adjunctive or even primary therapy for opioid detox, especially in settings where medical access is limited. It’s not just theory.  It’s happening now.

A Real-World Bioelectric Reset for Opioid Detox and Healing

Bio-Electrode Therapy (BeT) is a simple, science-aligned, and deeply human method for relieving suffering using the body’s own bioelectric healing currents. Drawing from Traditional Chinese Medicine’s (TCM) meridian theory and paired with modern bioelectric science, BeT uses silver and copper electrodes placed on specific acupuncture points to reset Qi flow and restore physiological balance quickly, safely, and inexpensively. When applied to Jing-Well points using the All-Meridian protocol, patients suffering from acute opioid withdrawal typically report relief from symptoms within minutes. With correct polarity, this protocol helps guide positive ion flow in the direction of Qi and allows the endogenous electric field to normalize brain-body communication, easing pain, calming the nervous system, improving sleep, and lifting despair.

Unlike conventional drug-based detox strategies or complex electrotherapy machines, BeT requires only:

  • 8ml bottles of copper and silver electrode solutions

  • Simple placement tools (the stir sticks)

  • Minimal training of the protocols, with an understanding of polarity and meridian flow

BeT for Pain and the Opioid Roots

Many individuals struggling with opioid dependency began their journey seeking relief from chronic pain, trauma, or physical injury. BeT protocols also address the underlying sources of pain by restoring energy flow, balancing electrolytes, supporting nitric oxide and ATP production, and stimulating the body’s natural regenerative capacity.

Join the BeT Barefoot Doctor Project

“This is a movement of healing, not just a method.”

We are building a grassroots global network, the BeT Barefoot Doctor Project, to bring bioelectric healing tools to the front lines of the opioid crisis and beyond.

We’re calling on:

  • TCM practitioners to oversee and provide basic training

  • Peer support workers

  • Frontline addiction and recovery specialists

  • Holistic and mental health care providers

With just a few hours of training, BeT practitioners can apply safe, effective BeT protocols and guide clients through opioid detox without opioid replacement therapy (ORT). TCM professionals can address complex pain issues and support long-term recovery using meridian-based protocols, using simple electrodes.

BeT Kit: Everything You Need to Start

  • Copper and silver electrode solutions

  • An instructional manual or a simple app with illustrated protocols

  • Online training videos and support

  • Patient handouts and protocols
