Du 14 — Dazhui, Great Vertebra — sits at the base of the neck, below the seventh cervical vertebra, at the apex of the Yang axis of the body. It is considered the pivot point of Yang energy throughout the body — the meeting point of the Governing Vessel with all six Yang channels of the hands and feet. In Bio-electrode Therapy, the silver electrode placed here activates this convergence point, drawing Qi from all Yang meridians simultaneously into the Governing Vessel and initiating the ascending Yang current up the posterior axis toward the brain.
